The Dance Artist Alliance CLT was born the Summer of 2021 through conversations that Ana Ogbueze, Caroline Calouche, Camerin Watson and Elsie Mufuka that expanded to a couple of dance artist meet-ups to brainstorm more ideas and a name.  DAACLT will be a non-profit organization that will be connected to the Charlotte Dance Festival's non-profit status as a DBA.   The working mission statement is to create opportunities and support for dance artists living in Charlotte-Mecklenburg area to thrive locally, nationally and internationally.

 

You are reading this page because the founders believe you are a great candidate to serve on the first board and advisory board.  Please complete one of the applications below that best works for you.  Our goal is to create diverse boards that represents concert, commercial and as many dance disciplines that Charlotte has to offer.

Board Member Job Description

General Information on responsibilities.

-  No required donation because we need working board members to help form the alliance.

-  This is a working board.  The amount of time depends on the priority area that you will work on and potentially lead other volunteers to support in completing tasks.

-  Meetings once a month via zoom or in-person.  Additional meetings as needed to complete tasks.

Advisory Board Job Description

- General Information on responsibilities

- Required minimum annual donation of $100.

- 1-2 meetings annually

- Be available to meet virtually or in-person to give advice to board members.

- Be willing to share your network with the organization to further the mission.
