First Youth Repertory Ensemble
Dance programs in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg and surrounding counties can nominate up to 2 young dancers between the ages of 13-18 to participate in the first CDF Youth Repertory Ensemble. Each year a guest choreographer will be chosen to create a new work for the ensemble. The new work will premiere on the CEDA program

2010 Choreographer
Brian Winn, Contemporary Dance
Brian Winn is the Dance Educator at Andrew Jackson High School in Kershaw , South Carolina . He is a Company Dancer with Caroline Calouche & Co. which is an aerial and contemporary dance company based in Gastonia , NC that tours throughout the southeastern U.S. He received a B.A. in Dance Education from Winthrop University and was awarded a South Carolina Teaching Fellow. While at Winthrop , he had the opportunity to work with artists such as Meg Griffin, Stephanie Milling, Stacy McConnell, Mary Beth Young, Bethany Tuffy and Sandra Neels. Brian was first introduced to dance through color guard where he performed with many competitive groups around the country and worked with choreographers Jennifer House Hinshaw and Michael L. James.
